The 22nd IEEE International Conference on Autonomous Robot Systems and Competitions (ICARSC2022) is an international scientific meeting in the field of Mobile Robotics financially co-sponsored by the Portuguese Robotics Society, IEEE Portugal Section and IEEE Portugal RAS Chapter and technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS). The ICARSC conference is currently a top international scientific conference in the field of autonomous robotics and competitions. This conference is promoted by the Universidade de Aveiro, Universidade do Minho, Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Universidade de Coimbra and the Portuguese Society of Robotics, with the support from Santa Maria da Feira City Council and logistic support from Modal Creativity.

BEST PAPER AWARD RECIPIENTS: Carlos Borges, José Ribeiro, Luís Louro, Paulo Vicente, Carlos Faria, Sérgio Monteiro and Estela Bicho in recognition of their paper "Trajectory tracking for the inspection of deformable objects considering manipulability of a 7-DoF serial manipulator"

The conference will take place in Europarque at Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal, from 29 to 30 of April 2022, in conjunction with the Portuguese Robotics Open, a RoboCup-sponsored Local Event with several other associated competitions. Its scope encompasses, but is not limited to, the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Education. The conference is planned for physical participation. 

The conference content will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases. As in previous editions, special issues of extended selected papers are planned for publication in international journals indexed by Thomson ISI Web of Knowledge.

COVID-19 measures: Although the Portuguese Government has lifted the mandatory use of mask, we still recommend for ICARSC 2022 participants to wear a mask in situations gathering a large number of people in confined spaces.
