The Portuguese Robotics Open promotes Science and Technology among young people, teachers, researchers and the general public, through autonomous robot competitions. Held annually in different cities, this event also includes a Scientific Meeting (ICARSC 2022), where national and foreign researchers in the field of Robotics are given the opportunity to present their latest research results in their field.
The robotics competitions are intended to promote the innovative, entrepreneurial spirit in children and young people through active teaching methods, as well as the acquisition of transversal skills, also promoting this area to the general public.
At the Portuguese Robotics Open , Portuguese teams are selected for the RoboCup, a world-wide robotics competition, which brings together the best teams from each country, and in which Portugal already has a track record of good results.
Is an international forum bringing together researchers from all robotics areas aiming to discuss the latest progress in their research field and evaluate advances in the state-of-the-art. ICARSC2022 is co-sponsored by the Portuguese Robotics Society. Contributions from the academy, industry and outputs from collaboration between industrial and academic R&D units are welcome.
